Through clear action we are protecting our home for future generations. Shxwhá:y Village and its people has always had an important connection to the land, the waters, and the forests. We know that it is important to protect our land to help keep our people and our community healthy.

Accomplishments

• Eliminated garbage dumping in landfill
• Reclaimed two major drilling sites with community lakes
• Stopped drilling and extracting on Shxwhá-y Village lands
• 1000s of cedar trees planted throughout the reserve in place of invasive cottonwoods
